Be AI is the AI consulting, architecture and transformation practice of Be Digital Limited, a New Zealand technology company. We exist because most businesses are being sold AI tools before anyone has designed what AI should do for them.

Why we started

Somebody had bought the tool. Nobody had designed the job.

We kept meeting the same business. Somebody had bought a Copilot licence. Somebody else was pasting customer emails into a free chatbot. A supplier had added “AI” to a product the business already paid for. And nobody, anywhere, had decided what AI was supposed to do for the company, what it was allowed to know, or who was responsible when it was wrong.

Be AI exists to design that. Not to sell a tool, and not to run a training course and leave, but to help a business understand AI, find where it creates real value, design the architecture that makes it safe and useful, and deploy it into the workflows people already use. Then to keep it working.

We are vendor-independent because the task should choose the model. We design before we build because a demo is not a system. We put a person in front of every consequential decision because that is what makes an agent deployable. And we say no to the projects that should not happen, because that is what a consultancy is for.
