Somebody in your business used AI today. Nobody designed how.

Be AI helps New Zealand businesses understand, design and deploy artificial intelligence, from your first AI strategy to production-ready systems that work inside the tools your people already use.

  • Vendor-independent

The problem

Everyone is talking about AI. Few businesses know what to actually do with it.

What is happening

AI is already in your business

Staff are pasting customer emails into free tools, someone has a Copilot licence nobody set up, and a supplier has “added AI” to a product you already pay for.

What is missing

Nobody designed any of it

There is no decision about where AI should and should not be used, no rule about what data can go where, and no way to tell whether any of it is working.

What it costs

The projects that never ship

Pilots that impress a demo and fail in a workflow. Tools bought before the problem was defined. Risk nobody has put a name to.

AI Fundamentals

Your leadership team does not need to become AI engineers. It needs to stop guessing.

A half-day Executive AI Workshop that explains what AI actually is, what it can and cannot do for a business like yours, and what the first sensible step looks like, without the hype and without a sales pitch for a tool.

  • Generative AI, language models, agents and automation explained in business terms
  • Where the risk really sits: data, security, ownership of output
  • How to read an AI proposal from a supplier
  • Leaves you with a one-page view of where to start

AI Opportunity Score · free · five minutes

Find out how AI-ready your business is before you buy another tool.

Twelve questions. Your score, your readiness level and your three biggest opportunities, shown straight away. No email needed to see the result.

Question 1 of 12How many people work in your business?

Pick one and you are already a twelfth of the way through.

AI Strategy

The most expensive AI decision is the one nobody made on purpose.

We work with your leadership team to answer five questions: Where should we use AI? Where shouldn’t we? What will pay back first? What do we build versus buy? What does our business look like in three years if this works?

AI Opportunity Map

Every plausible use case in your business, on one page.

Prioritisation

Ranked by impact, feasibility, risk and cost, so the first project is the right one.

Roadmap

30 days, 90 days, six months, twelve months, three years.

Business case

Investment, savings, productivity, revenue and payback, in numbers your board will accept.

AI Architecture

Most AI agencies will build you a chatbot. We design the intelligence layer of your business.

AI only works when people, data, models, agents, applications, automation and security are designed to work together. That design is the difference between a demo and a system your business runs on.

  • Models: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, open source; chosen per task, never per loyalty
  • Agents: assistants, customer service, sales, research, workflow, multi-agent
  • Knowledge: documents, SharePoint, databases, CRM, ERP, websites, RAG
  • Integration: Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, accounting, email, telephony, APIs
  • Security: identity, access, data protection, model and prompt security, audit, monitoring

We don’t believe in one AI platform. We design the right AI ecosystem for your business.

That is what makes an agent deployable.
The intelligence layer, and one request crossing every part of it.

AI Governance

Five questions your business will be asked this year. We answer them in writing.

AI policy, acceptable use, risk and vendor assessment, human oversight and incident handling, aligned to ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, written for your business, and delivered with Be Secure where controls need testing.

How an engagement runs · illustrative example

A 60-person professional services firm, from first workshop to a running agent in fourteen weeks.

  1. Week 1
Executive AI WorkshopThe partners agree on three problems worth solving and two they will not touch.
  2. Weeks 2–3
AI Readiness AssessmentThe data is better than they feared; the permissions are worse.
  3. Weeks 4–6
StrategyAn opportunity map of eleven use cases, prioritised to one: intake and engagement letters.
  4. Weeks 7–8
ArchitectureMicrosoft 365 as the platform, a knowledge base from their precedent library, human approval before anything leaves the firm.
  5. Weeks 9–14
Build, pilot, govern, monitorPilot with two teams, governance policy signed off, monitoring on. The second use case starts from the same architecture.

An illustrative example of how the six stages run, not a client case. Timings only; no client name and no invented figures.

Questions

What people ask us first

Where do we start if we have done nothing with AI yet?

Take the free AI Opportunity Score, then book an Executive AI Workshop. Half a day gets your leadership team to a shared understanding and a one-page view of where to start. Nothing is bought before that.

Are you tied to a particular AI vendor?

No. We design with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft and open-source models and choose per task. Where Azure and Microsoft 365 are the right platform, Be Cloud provisions and runs them; where they are not, we say so.

What does it cost?

Discovery and Strategy are fixed fee. Builds are quoted per solution from the design. Managed is monthly. The packages page shows the model for each, and your proposal has the exact number.

Can you help with the tools our staff are already using?

That is usually the first job: find out what is in use, write the acceptable-use policy, approve the tools worth keeping, and check who can see what before Copilot or any agent is switched on.

Is Be AI part of Be Digital?

Yes. Be AI is the AI consulting, architecture and transformation practice of Be Digital Limited, alongside Be Cloud, Be Secure, Be Connect, Be Watch and Bea. You sign one agreement and we bring the right team.
